IS2WEB “Extending Information Society Networks to the Western Balkan Region”

IS2WEB is funded by the European Commission and aims at assisting suitable research organisations in the Western Balkan countries to get informed about and actively participate in research funded by the European Commission in the field of Information Society Technologies (IST).

This assistance will be provided through:

Mentoring Workshops on Information Society Technologies programme opportunities, procedures and Research and Development culture .

Thematic Workshops for transferring research results and technologies related to selected strategic objectives of the IST programme, assisting research organisations in elaborating ideas for future research proposals.

Facilitating the development of networks between research organisations in the Western Balkan region and the EU in order to exchange ideas and pursue joint research collaboration.

Project sites: All the countries in the Western Balkan region are participating in the project: Albania, FYR of Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia & Montenegro and Croatia in a consortium along with Greece and Austria .

Project duration: 30 months.
