BIHAC
Bihac is the capital city and gravitational centre of Una-Sana canton, and at the same time an administrative, economic, educational, medical and cultural centre. Thanks to its favourable location, Bihac has always been an important crossroads. It is situated on the River Una.
In the surroinding area of Bihac there are lots of monuments of nature and history. As Bihac is located at the point where air masses with mediterranean and continental characteristics interchange, it is considered to be one of the most suitable cities for gliding in Europe. The River Una is pleasent for swimming, kayakingrafting and fishing.
Bihac was mentioned in the history for the first time in 1260. Biahc has rich but tragical history as well. During the history it was centre of wide area but also many times destroyed; last time during the war in 90s.
